Dirocaftor (PTI-808)

Restore CFTR Protein
Dirocaftor is a type of CFTR modulator called a potentiator. Potentiators help facilitate the opening of the chloride channel on the cell surface to allow chloride and sodium (salt) to move in and out of the cell.
Status
Phase 2 studies were conducted to test the safety and effectiveness of dirocaftor in combination with two other CFTR modulators, posenacaftor (PTI-801) and nesolicaftor (PTI-428). No further studies of these compounds are planned at this time.
